
Saliha Bayrak is a writer, editor, and researcher based in New York City. She’s currently an associate editor at The Drift as well as a freelance reporter featured in The Nation, Acacia Magazine, Texas Monthly, and more. Her work focuses on international activism, discriminatory policing, imperial legacies, and religious identity.
Her work has been supported by the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and the Islamic Scholarship Fund. Saliha is a proud state school graduate who grew up between Western Massachusetts and Turkey, and works as an arts educator and photographer alongside her editorial career.
